• Base 60 Arithmetic (Sexagesimal): Unlike decimal math, time uses base 60. Every 60 seconds is converted to 1 minute, and 60 minutes to 1 hour. The calculator handles these carries and borrows automatically.
• Midnight Crossover (Rollover): If a subtraction goes before midnight, or an addition exceeds 11:59:59 PM, the time wraps. The calculator tracks this as a positive or negative day offset.
• Decimal Hour Conversions: Many payroll and accounting sheets require decimal hours. The tool displays duration in both standard hh:mm:ss formats and clean decimal outputs (e.g. 1.5 hours instead of 1h 30m).
• Flexible Parsing: The engine handles standard inputs with or without seconds, automatically normalizing values to standard structures so you do not have to worry about strict format guidelines.
